Submit your Shat

If you have anything that you would like to submit to us, please email them to me at matrixfan@countermap2.com except for maps unless I ask for them.

Examples of things you might want to submit to us are maps, Texture packs, Tutorials on NEW stuff, Pics of the week, or whatever else that might pertain to CM and mapping.

General submission guideline is to have the subject line begin with "submission:" then describing what type it is. for example

Map submission Guidelines
I will be honest, and say right off the bat that the best place to get your maps recognised would be on our mapping forum.

We at Counter-Map are no longer taking map submissions through email. For map Pack submissions or official CS submissions, (FINISHED MAPS ONLY PLEASE) please post a topic containing 4-6 images of your map and a download if possible in this forum
CM submission forum
this forum is for FINISHED maps only. Sub standard maps will not be considered for playtesting, so pictures and input from forum members will play a key role. If it looks good, We will download it from your dl link or ask for it to be sent to our emails if you can not provide one. From there we will look at it and determine if we want to consider it for a later playtest.
If you feel your map can not meet High standards established by the average past official Counter Strike maps or Counter Map packs, I suggest you post to this forum for feedback, suggestions (don't be suprised of a few flames) here:
CM Map Pimpage

thank you.

Texture submission Guidelines
Mappers are always looking for cool new textures to use in their maps. If you feel that you have some cool, usefull and original textures that you would like to contribute for the greater good, then please, fire them on over. Please include them in .wad format under a custom name for example not "textures.wad" Also, please include a .txt file that is the same name as the .wad, with your info such as real name, nick, detailed list of which textures are in the wad, etc. Please also name the textures themselves with a custom prefix to relate them back to you easily. example not "brick1" but rather "lestat_brick1" if you get my drift.

Tutorial submission Guidelines
If you feel you have a tutorial that hasn't been done before, that a lot of current mappers would find usefull, then fire that sucker over. Pictures, etc inline with it would be preferable, the more detailed the better. In fact, it will be more likely to be published if you convert it over to our site design.
